About The Project:

This project underwent a light refresh. The client already owned a sofa and side chair, but there were still numerous opportunities to enhance the warmth of the space. An update to the fireplace was necessary, and additional furniture along with window coverings were needed.

Our Favorite Part:

With an extensive art collection gathered from their travels, it was essential to showcase these pieces. We tried to avoid turning their living room into a museum; it should feel thoughtfully curated for their home. The fireplace was resurfaced, a new mantel was custom-made, and we love the idea of using the same European tile from their kitchen to create a cohesive flow between the two areas. Additional seating and sculptural tables contribute to a cozy atmosphere in the living room. I envision my client relaxing in this chair, reading a book while enjoying views of the pond. I can almost hear the ducks quacking! The area rug and window treatments beautifully tie the entire space together.
