Stone Bridge

Primary Bathroom

Type Of Project: Primary Bath
Size: 11’ x 6’ / 66 square feet

About The Project:

The bathroom was dark and outdated, and the existing layout did not meet our client’s needs. The 36" shower was very small, and there was a large garden tub that was never used. This meant the entire bathroom needed an overhaul. The primary focus for this project was eliminating the oversized garden tub, as getting in and out of the tub posed a safety concern. So, we reimagined the space, keeping our clients’ needs in mind.

Our Favorite Part:

We redesigned the space to feature a spacious shower area complete with a bench seat. The grab bars are stylish rather than institutional, serving as a statement piece instead of a safety feature. Multiple water sources, including a slide bar with a handheld showerhead, give this bathroom a spa-like feel. And for added convenience, the stool and shower bench seat serve as unsung heroes, perfect for resting or holding a towel. By relocating the toilet, we gave the space a bit of privacy. The vanity was expanded, and a central tower was incorporated, which provided the client much-needed storage. Two recessed medicine cabinets equipped with electricity allow for discreet storage of electric toothbrushes and razors. Now the clients have two separate areas to get ready!

But the fun part of this bathroom design was incorporating all the various patterns. The client mentioned that she loved quilting and liked patterns, and we wholeheartedly embraced that. Take a look at the plaid tile floor, quilted shower floor and niche, along with the multi-tonal blue tile on the back wall. So many patterns and textures blend beautifully together.
